Additional services: Fire treatment to Euroclass B

NORclad supplied all the Siberian Larch external timber cladding for the refurbishment of the Tides Reach Hotel, a mixed-use facility which incorporated the remodelling of the existing structure

Situated in the mouth of the Salcombe estuary in South Hams within an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The Tides Reach development originally consists of a new build 50-bedroom wing for the new hotel and the refurbishment of the existing building to form the hotel’s ground floor restaurant, Upper Deck Bar and Lower Deck Beach Bar, and 10 residential apartments on floors above. During the project, the main contractors were also approached by the client to refurbish the old spa to form a new luxury HarSPA, again to be clad with NORclad supplied materials.

The site underwent extensive landscaping with a wraparound terrace and the repositioning of the unique natural pond.

NORclad Brunnea preservative treatment provides a formal warranty on the product for 30 years against rot and fungal decay (out of ground contact), all materials also had factory applied fire treatment to Euroclass B-s1-d0 (s1 Smoke Production – d0 Flaming Droplets).
