The Tailor’s Collection. A brand new collection of 10 x High Quality Painted / Coated Accoya® Colours in a brushed textured finish.

By combining the highest quality timber, coatings and surface treatment technologies, the new Tailor’s Collection delivers a stunning, fully finished cladding solution. Its uniquely sanded and brushed surface allows the non-film based Remmers coating to penetrate beneath the surface of the timber, allowing the finish to bind to the cells preventing peeling and cracking. Tailor’s Collection is specially treated to reduce its ability to absorb water, resulting in a timber with exceptional dimensional stability, as well as extremely low shrinkage and swelling rates.

Detailed Information

Engineered timber cladding, elevated by Remmers coatings.

The Tailor’s Collection combines high-performance stability with refined rustic charm—available in 10 timeless colours, each hand-brushed and finished in Remmers semi-transparent or opaque coatings for lasting elegance.

Each cladding board is made from modified Accoya® wood—an ultra-stable, sustainably sourced timber. The boards are stained with Remmers coating systems, known for long-term resistance to UV, moisture, mould and weathering.

Accoya®: The Foundation of Performance

Accoya® delivers next-level performance in timber thanks to a revolutionary modification process known as acetylation. The result is a non-toxic wood with class-leading durability, dimensional stability, and a 50-year above-ground warranty.

Its consistent structure makes it ideal for finishing with Remmers, ensuring coatings penetrate evenly and adhere for the long term—without peeling, blistering, or cracking.

Key Benefits:

  • *50-year service life above ground
  • Exceptional dimensional stability—no visible shrinkage or swelling
  • Ideal for coating—smooth, consistent surfaces for even application
  • Sustainably sourced FSC® certified
  • Fully recyclable and non-toxic

Finished with Remmers

Durable coatings for a natural aesthetic.

To preserve the beauty of the wood while providing superior protection, each Tailor’s Collection board is finished with 2 coats of Remmers finishings.

Remmers offers a variety of colours to suit modern tastes, including natural-look, pre-grey, and deep black tones. Whether you want your cladding to retain its raw timber look or create a bold architectural statement, Remmers stains enhance and protect the timber for years to come.

Why Remmers?

  • Breathable, semi-film-forming finishes that don’t peel or crack
  • Built-in UV blockers and water resistance
  • Low maintenance cycles—up to 12 years between reapplications
  • Natural and opaque tones in line with modern architectural trends
  • Formulated for Accoya® for deep penetration and strong adhesion
  • Remmers wood cladding coatings offer lasting elegance, backed by a 10-year maintenance guarantee.

Each board is factory-finished with 2 coats, applied with controlled precision to all sides for maximum durability. From warm naturals to sleek greys and deep black, the Tailor’s Collection is where performance meets design.

Specify

If you have decided that Timber Cladding is going to be one of the materials on your project the next step is to create a specification that will meet the criteria and expectations you, and your client have.

NORclad will be happy to talk through what is available and enable you to select, amongst others: species, profile, size, treatment, requirement for Euro Class B, service life.

We offer installation guidance, detailing guidance based on TDUK documentation, with a wealth of knowledge and information on how different timbers will perform over the life span of your project.

Considerations that should be made when it comes to weather, along with how elevation and design variations can impact timber cladding.
