Standards
Adhering to BS 8417, giving best-practice recommendations for the preservative treatment of wood and wood products to offer protection against bio-deterioration in end-use situations. Ensuring the correct specification of treatment is vital when working on a project where maintenance and long term performance are key. BS 8417 also sets the industry benchmark for the penetration and retention requirements of wood preservatives tested to BS EN 599 – covering boron and creosote preservatives too.
