Vodafone required a space for people to feel inspired, a place for people to get together and nurture their wellbeing during the working day.
Our team developed the concept of the Laneway Tree House, providing those who work in the office a chance to connect with their outside surroundings. Architects Jasmax worked in collaboration with this Abodo during this project to identify the design intent to use Timber.
The vision for the exterior aesthetic of the building was the natural timber material to feature throughout, creating warmth and beauty flowing into the interior, through Abodo Vulcan’s thermally modified, sustainable timber was then chosen as the base material. The non-toxic, low VOC was used to finish the interior and exterior timber, and the striking dark timber helped to create engagement and stimulation through the contrast between the soft, natural wood and the harsh concrete.
The finished aesthetic of the timber lining across the entrance, the reception and stairwells helped to highlight elements of friendliness and charm to the technology-focused layout.
